FAQ

Questions we actually get

Answers on AI Google review replies, auto-send rules, why 1-star never auto-posts, Google OAuth, agencies, cancel, and how this differs from Google’s built-in AI.

Homepage FAQ is the short set. This page is the rest — policy, plans, and the 1-star lock. If the answer is “it depends,” we say so.

What reviewsGBP does

Do I still write the replies?

No. AI writes a draft in your voice for each Google review. You can edit and post, or auto-send only the star ratings you enable. 1-star reviews never auto-post.

Will this go out under my name?

Not without your rules. In manual mode every reply is a draft you approve before Post to Google. Auto-reply only runs on the star ratings you enable, with optional delay — and 1-star reviews never auto-post.

Does Google allow this?

reviewsGBP uses Google’s official Business Profile APIs via OAuth to read reviews and post replies you authorize. You remain responsible for reply content. We don’t scrape or use unofficial access.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Manage or cancel your subscription in the billing portal from Billing. You’ll keep access through the end of the paid period when you cancel at period end.

Who owns my reviews?

Your Google reviews stay on Google. reviewsGBP stores the sync and drafts needed to run the product for your account. You can disconnect Google or delete your account from Settings; that removes reviewsGBP account data per our Privacy Policy.

How long does setup take?

Most owners connect Google, let AI draft, and send a first reply in under 15 minutes. Brand voice instructions are optional and can be refined later.

What happens after the trial?

Choose Starter, Growth, or Agency based on locations and monthly AI reply volume. Billing is through Stripe — you’ll see totals before you’re charged.

Can I edit every reply?

Yes. Drafts are fully editable. Regenerate if you want a new version, then save or post when you’re happy.

Is reviewsGBP a Google Business Profile management tool?

For review replies, yes. It syncs Google reviews, drafts responses, and posts through official OAuth. It does not write Google Posts, edit services, or run a listings agency. If you need that, use Google’s own editor or a GBP visibility product.

Do you reply on Yelp, Facebook, or TripAdvisor?

No. Google Business Profile only. Omnichannel suites exist; they cost hundreds a month because they are a different job.

Do you send SMS or email asking for reviews?

No. We reply to reviews you already have. The review-link generator builds Google’s official write-a-review URL if you want to share it in person.

Approval, auto-reply, and 1-star

Why do 1-star reviews never auto-post?

A 1-star reply is a public record of how you handle harm. Legal admissions, named staff, sarcasm, and fake-review accusations do not belong on autopilot. The product hard-blocks 1-star from auto-send. You can still draft and post after you read it.

Can I turn on autopilot for 5-star reviews?

Yes. Auto-reply is opt-in per star rating, with an optional delay so you can catch a sarcastic five. 4-star and 3-star are your call. 1-star cannot be enabled.

What if a 5-star review is sarcastic?

Put a delay on 5-star auto-send, or keep 5-star as drafts. The delay is there so a manager can still stop a bad auto-thank-you.

Will customers notice the replies are AI?

They notice generic copy. They rarely notice a specific, on-voice reply. Edit anything that could apply to a dentist and a bakery. That is the bar, whether a human or a model typed the first draft.

Google, policy, and native AI

Can using this get my Google profile flagged?

reviewsGBP uses Google’s official Business Profile APIs. We do not scrape or drive an unofficial browser session. You are still responsible for reply content: no coupons in replies, no fake-review accusations, no medical detail. Identical copy-paste across dozens of reviews is a worse look than a quiet profile.

How is this different from Google’s built-in AI review replies?

Google’s helper lives inside the Business Profile UI and does not give you a queue, per-location voice, star-rating auto-send, or a 1-star hard block. reviewsGBP is the operations layer around replies. See the comparison page.

Which languages do you reply in?

Drafts follow the review’s language when we can. Still read non-English 1-star replies before you post. Models miss names, slang, and local references.

Can I reply to old Google reviews, not just new ones?

Yes. Sync imports the history on your listing. Generate drafts in the queue and post what you still want answered. Clearing a four-year backlog is a batch job, not a reason to auto-send 1-stars.

Plans, agencies, and data

What’s the difference between Starter, Growth, and Agency?

Starter: 1 location, 200 AI replies/month, $19. Growth: 3 locations, 500 replies, $49. Agency: 10 locations, unlimited replies, $99. Same product: drafts, approval, star-rating auto-send, 1-star lock. 14-day trial on paid plans.

Is Agency a white-label portal?

No. Agency is a location and quota tier for people who sit client queues. The product is reviewsGBP-branded. Each location keeps its own voice.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Access continues through the paid period. Disconnect Google or delete the account from Settings. Review text lives on Google; we remove the copies and drafts we stored, per the Privacy Policy.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Trials are 14 days. After that, cancel in the billing portal and you keep access through the period you already paid. We do not run a separate 30-day refund window on top of Stripe period-end cancel.
