Product doctrine
We will not auto-post a 1-star reply. That is the product.
reviewsGBP will not auto-send a reply to a 1-star Google review. Not on Starter, not on Agency, not as a hidden flag. A public complaint is a human job. AI can draft; it cannot take the blame.
Autopilot is a setting. 1-star is not.
Most “AI review agent” pages sell the fantasy that a model can sit the inbox like a trusted manager. A trusted manager does not thank a 1-star that alleges food poisoning, theft, or a named employee while they sleep. They read it. They take it offline. They do not let a batch job apologize for the wrong fact.
reviewsGBP will draft that reply in seconds. It will not post it until a human hits Post. That is not a pricing tier. It is the same on Starter and Agency.
What goes wrong when 1-star is on autopilot
- The model echoes a diagnosis or an admission you did not intend.
- It names staff in a disciplinary story you have not checked.
- It argues with a fake review and gives it oxygen.
- It offers a coupon, which Google’s owner-reply policy restricts.
- It sounds chipper on a review about harm. That sentence lives on the listing.
Optional delay on 5-star exists because sarcasm hides in praise. 1-star does not get a delay. It gets a person.
What we automate instead
The volume. Short 5-stars. The backlog of “great pasta.” Star-rating auto-send is opt-in for 5, 4, 3, and 2 if you really want 2. The star-rule recommender will tell most shops to auto-send 5 with a delay and hold the rest. That is a policy, not a personality.
If you wanted a cheaper autopilot
Other tools default harder toward posting. Some will hold 3-star and below by default and still let you enable 1-star. We will not. If lowest price and full autopilot are the buying criteria, compare honestly and pick them. If you want the queue to refuse the dangerous send, you are in the right place.
Questions
Can I override the 1-star auto-post block?
No. You can generate a draft and post it yourself after you read it. Auto-send cannot be enabled for 1-star on any plan.
Isn’t speed the whole point of AI replies?
Speed on 5-star thank-yous is the point. Speed on a 1-star that names staff or alleges harm is how you inherit a sentence you did not mean. Draft fast; post after a human glance.
Do 2-star and 3-star auto-post?
Only if you enable those ratings. We recommend they stay as drafts. The hard lock is 1-star.
Keep the dangerous replies in the queue
Start a trial. Auto-send the ratings you trust. 1-star stays on your desk.
